 Terms And Conditions

1. Services 

Little and Large Pets agrees to provide pet sitting and dog walking services for the customer's  pet(s), including but not limited to feeding, providing water, administering medication if necessary, play and cleaning up after the pet(s).

 

Little and large pets  will provide such services at the customers home. If dog walking, the walks will be conducted from the customer's home address.  

 

Little and Large Pets are fully insured relative to the services performed for the customer. It is agreed that the customer is responsible to ensure that the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of the service.

 

Little and Large Pets visits will take place on mornings 7am to 10am, afternoons 10.30am to 3pm, evenings 4pm to 7pm and bedtimes 7.30pm to 9pm. These time slots may vary but will be discussed with the customer.

 

Little and Large Pets will provide our services on bank Holiday, weekends and seasonal holidays (e.g Christmas) as well at no extra cost. All dates and times will be discussed with the customer.

 

2. Booking and payment 

The Customer agrees to pay Little and Large Pets A 50% non-refundable deposit is to be paid within 14 days of the booking date via bank transfer.  The full payment must be paid before or by the first visit. 

 

Customer’s that have long-term or recurring weekly visits, must ensure they make a payment every 4 weeks for the previous month.   Little and large pets will provide payment details and amount due.

It shall be the customer's duty to confirm and inform Little and Large Pets of their return date, failing to do so Little and Large Pets will continue to perform additional visits in the interest of the pet(s).

​

Should the customer return home early, there will be no refund due to the customer.

​

Additional fees may include the purchase of necessary items for the care of the pet(s), including but not limited to pet food, litter or cleaning supplies, transportation, unexpected visits and emergency expenses for health care. Little and large pets shall retain and submit receipts as proof of additional expenses. The customer Agrees to pay for these expenses immediately. 

​

3. Cancellation 

If the customer needs to cancel the pet sitting services, the Customer must provide notice to little and large pets as soon as possible, the deposit paid is non refundable.

​

For recurring weekly visits, the customer must provide 48 hour notice to cancel with no charge. If notice is not provided within the required timeframe, the Customer agrees to pay for the service that would have been provided in full.  

​

4. Pets 

The Customer agrees to provide little and large pets with all necessary information about the pet(s), including current health issues, medical conditions and history, behavioural issues, feeding instructions and special instructions for care. 

​

Little and Large Pets will follow instructions given by the customer on the booking form and cannot be held liable for any actions or omissions which result in problems or complications for anything not disclosed.

​

All pets must remain indoors for the duration of the service, apart from those pets that live outdoors, or the client has agreed for allowing pet(s) to be outdoors. This is to ensure the safety of the pet(s). Little and large pets cannot be held liable for any complications that may occur when your pet(s) is/are outdoors.

​

The Customer must ensure all food, medication, bedding, toys, cleaning materials and so on are provided for the duration of the booking. If an essential item is not provided, Little and Large Pets will be authorised to purchase the required materials/equipment and the Customer agrees to fully reimburse little and large pets the full amount, upon receiving the receipt of proof of purchase.

Little and Large Pets does not require the Customer pet(s) to be up to date with vaccinations, flea, tick and worm treatments, but it is preferred it is at the owner's own risk and choice. Little and large pets cannot be held liable for any complications which may arise due to the customer not having these treatments.

​

The Customer gives little and large pets permission for a property key to be maintained and used for access to the Client’s home to conduct the services that need to be  provided.

​

The Customer is responsible for all harm or damage caused by their pet('s) whilst under the care of little and large pets and agrees to indemnify in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.

​

Little and Large Pets will always try to visit your pet(s) as near as possible to the time slot you request but we reserve the right to visit outside of the allocated time slot in case of any situations or problems that may arise.

 

5. Dog walking 

In addition to the above (4.Pets), the Customer is to inform little and large pets of any behavioural issues the Customers dog(s) may have towards other people, other dogs or other animals. 

​

Little and Large Pets are happy to cater for dogs that have particular needs such as nervous or reactive behaviours. The Customer Agrees to provide the information required to carry out the service for the best interest of the dog(s).

​

The Customer agrees for little and large pets to always walk the dog(s) on a lead to ensure the safety of the dog(s). A short lead will be used near the roadside and a flexi/long line for open fields and woodland areas.

​

The Customer authorises little and large pets to reserve the right to apply personal judgement and cut a walk short due to extreme weather conditions, such as heat, thunderstorms, blizzards and very strong winds, for the safety of both the dog(s) and the walker.

​

The Customer agrees to leave out dog walking equipment and towels for little and large pets to clean or dry off the dog(s) after a walk as some walks may be wet or muddy.

​

6. Vets

If the customer's pet becomes sick or injured whilst under the care of little and large pets , the Customer will be contacted using the numbers provided on the booking form, to confirm the Customer choice of action. 

​

In the event of an emergency or if the Customer or emergency contact cannot be contacted, little and large pets shall be authorised to transport the pet(s) to the listed Veterinarian on the booking form and request on site treatment except Euthanasia upto the Payment limit that is provided on the booking form. 

​

If the veterinary practice that's been provided is not accessible (e.g closed), the Customer authorises little and large pets to use any registered vet at their discretion.  

​

The Customer accepts full responsibility for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their pet receives while under the care of little and large pets. Little and large pets can not provide payment to cover any costs or charges from the veterinary practice. The Customer agrees to pay all such costs immediately to the veterinary practice.

​

The information provided on the booking form will be shared with the veterinary practice to confirm and identify the pet(s) that needs to be seen. This may include the owner's name, address ,contact number and pet details.

​

7. Security and Key Holders

The Customer gives little and large pets permission for property Key(s) and alarm codes to be maintained and used for access to the Customer home to conduct the services that needs provided.

​

The Customers that choose to become a key holder give little and large pets permission to keep a key and use it to provide a service for the duration of their bookings.

​

Little and Large pets promises to keep all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the customer safe and to return the same to the customer at the end of the service or immediately on demand.

​

The Customer shall inform little and large pets of anyone who will have access to their property for the duration of the booking. Little and large pets cannot be held liable for other persons or their actions or omissions who will be in, or have access to the Customers property before, during or after services have been rendered.

​

8. Liability 

Little and large pets will perform the services required to the best of their ability and in a responsible and professional manner. 

​

Little and Large Pets cannot be held liable or responsible for any stains, marks or damages caused by attempts to clean up after any accident caused by the pet(s).  

​

The Customer acknowledges and agrees that little and large pets is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to the pet(s), pet equipment or property of the Customer or any third party, unless such injury, loss, or damage was caused by little and large pets negligence or intentional misconduct.

​

Little and Large Pets accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Customers property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

​

Little and large pets cannot be held liable to any damage to the property or possessions of the Customer in their absence, caused by the Customers pet('s), but should this occur, little and large pets will report the situation to the Customer as soon as possible. 

​

The Customer agrees that by signing the agreement this will safeguard little and large pets against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in past, present and future circumstances

​

9. GDPR 

Little and Large Pets have the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.

 

Upon making a booking, the Customer is to provide details in order for little and large pets to effectively perform their side of the service. The information required is  relating to the Customer and their pet(s). 

​

Little and large pets will take the best possible care of the Customers personal data and process it fairly and lawfully under the terms of the GDPR.  The information that is provided by the customer is stored securely and processed on the premises of Little and Large Pets only.  Databases and backups are encrypted to protect the information.

​

10. Social media 

When contacting us via social media, whether a public or private message, any personal information you provide through these social media platforms, such as What’s App, Facebook and Instagram, are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the platform and not little and large pets.  Little and large pets may use messenger on Facebook as another way of contact during a booking, but this will only be done if the Customer has used messenger on a previous occasion such as for confirming bookings etc.

​

Little and Large Pets will take photos of pets to send to the Client for updates. Some photos will be published on social media for promotional purposes upon the request and consent of the Customer.
